How to fix Google app crashing error after new update on Android

So, I just got my new Nokia 8.1 and everything seemed to be working fine with the phone until yesterday when the Google app started acting up. It kept crashing every time I tried opening it. While trying to launch it through the quick menu or through the home screen link, all that would happen is that Google’s logo popped up first then disappeared in a couple of seconds. The error was not specific to any particular app, as I opened Photos and Gmail apps, they worked fine but as soon as I tapped on the shortcut for “Google” it should take me right into the search box above the keyboard there was no response.

I searched online for this problem, found out that other people are having some problems too mostly with Pixel, Samsung, and Motorola phones. So, I thought of writing this article in case some of our readers are also struggling with the same issue.
