It is important to get information from reliable sources to protect yourself from Covid-19 while traveling. The following guidelines on travel and contact tracing have been made mandatory for international travelers arriving in Pakistan from 5 October 2020.

Is air travel allowed from the country you are returning from?
The Government of Pakistan has divided the countries into A, B and C.

A: List A includes countries from which individuals traveling have been exempted from the CWED-19 test.
B: This list includes countries from which travelers will be required to undergo a mandatory COVED-19 RTPCR test that is performed within 72 hours of the date of travel.
C: Air travel from the countries on this list has been temporarily suspended due to Cove-19.

Use contact tracing app when coming to Pakistan
People coming from abroad must use the pass track app. Passengers coming to Pakistan through this app have to register the required information within 48 hours of arrival in Pakistan. The app helps travelers to provide information about their health up to 14 days after arrival in Pakistan.

1- Travel checklist
It’s a good idea to check before you travel that the place you’re going to is safe – and there’s on lockdown. You can get regular information from the Ministry of National Health’s Coved-19 Health Advisory Platform, Twitter handle, and Facebook page. You can also get information about the lockdown from the Twitter handle or Facebook page of your local deputy commissioner or district health officer.

Travelers should make sure that not all passengers with them have symptoms of Covid-19 before embarking on the journey.
Elderly people should avoid any kind of travel.
Passengers should travel with a reasonable number of masks and sanitizers.
If you feel sick during the journey, keep yourself away from other passengers and consult a doctor as soon as possible.
If you have just returned from an outbreak of the coronavirus, keep yourself in a separate room at home for 5-3 days.
Wash your hands regularly and thoroughly, avoid shaking hands or touching your face and stay away from crowded places.
Where possible, keep a distance of at least 1 meter (6 feet) between yourself and others.
2- Things to check when choosing a hotel, motel, or guesthouse
See the list below to make sure the hotel you are staying in is taking coronavirus precautions. This list contains instructions issued by the Government of Pakistan. The hotel you are staying at:

Guests must have their body temperature checked upon entry.
There should be a sanitizer at the front door.
All facilities for social distance should be clear by marking the ground and walls with tape.
Guests must wear a mask outside the room.
Make sure halls, public bathrooms, parking areas, door handles, elevator buttons, tabletops, remotes, light switches, etc. are frequently cleaned.
The rooms and vehicles used by tourists are regularly cleaned with antiseptic spray.
Cleaning staff should wear gloves and masks, such as PPE, while maintaining a safe distance from guests.
Remember that it is the responsibility of the hotel management to inform the tourists about the local SOPs, precautions and health care facilities at the nearby hospitals.

3- Things to check when choosing a restaurant, cafe or fast food
All restaurants, cafes and fast foods, as directed by the National Command Operations Center (NCOC):

Can only provide dining, delivery or takeaway outside.
They are obliged to take care of social distance while dining out.
Only local administrations, SOPs and announced hours can work.
Can’t call sick employees to work.
Are committed to ensuring regular surface cleaning.
The presence of a Food Safety Manager is required at all times during operating hours.

4- Things to check when choosing a tourism operator.
